Prof Gulvir Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, has bagged first position in massive open online course (MOOC), one of the toughest levels of technical examinations of the country, conducted under the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL).
The three-month course, which was on the topic “Principles of metal forming technology”, was conducted under the umbrella of Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds-National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (SWYAM-NPTEL) from July till September(2019).
Gurvir Singh, after successfully completing all modules under the curriculum, secured 91 per cent in the final evaluation examination which included participants from all over the nation. He bagged first position and was honored with a gold medal by the NPTEL.
