International women’s day celebrated at GNDEC, highlighting the theme “Each for Equal”. Dr. Sehijpal Singh, Principal, GNDEC, formally welcomed all the guests and participants. He mentioned in his address that we at GNDEC encourage equality and abide by the preaching of Guru Nanak Dev ji who has mentioned the same in Gurbani. He also discussed the equal rights of women employees in the college.
Expert speaker, Dr. Neelam Sodhi, MD, Obs and a gynecologist by profession (also happen to be a social activist), encouraged the participants by speaking about prominent women strengthening the world. She encouraged every woman to outshine and prove the world about their potential. Further, She imparted awareness on health and work balance for women.
At the end of the event, a question answer session was conducted in which participants were rewarded with exciting prizes. TEQIP coordinator, Dr. Harwinder Singh, program coordinator Prabhjot Kaur and Manpreet Kaur thanked the participants for making the event a success.
