GNDEC-School of Architecture Celebrates “World Environment Day”

World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June every year for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. To stimulate the masses to take measures in the direction of environment protection and also to conserve our planet, GNDEC School of Architecture paid tribute to the environment through an online gesture of Environment Day Celebrations that aimed at creating realization of practicing environment friendly architecture. To manifest this, ‘Best from Waste’ competition was held in which students were supposed to prepare life sized model of any usable article through waste material and then entries were sent to organizers in online mode. Jaya Verma bagged first position  ,Bhavjeet Singh second and third postion is shared by  Kanav Soni, Deshna Aggarwal, Gurleen Kaur.            

Ar.VivekSehgal, HOD-GNDEC School of Architecture applauded student’s creativity and skills as they showcased novel ideas and wonderful workmanship. Dr.Sehijpal Singh, Principal-GNDEC said that World Environment Day offers a global platform for inspiring positive change.  It pushes individuals to think about the way they consume, youth; to become fierce gatekeepers of a green future and educators; to inspire students to live in harmony with the Earth.
