Enhancing Student Employability through Interdisciplinary Engagement

Two-week Student Development Programme on “Enhancing Student Employability through Interdisciplinary Engagement”, sponsored by TEQIP III Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi Organised by Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College was inaugurated. Dr. Sehijpal Singh, Principal, GNDEC, Ludhiana welcomed the Chief guest Ms. Sandeep (Minnie) Riat MD, Akal Spring Ltd. and the Guest of honor Mr. Gurdeep Singh Sidhu Head I.T. CREMICA Food Industries Ltd. Ms. Riat emphasized the students to enhance their interdisciplinary knowledge and invest in themselves and to be a person who would feel proud to be after 20 years, she enlightened students to be good leaders who can align in every situation possible. Mr. Sidhu stated that students must learn how to express own self and impress someone. He focused on some must have qualities like being consistent, personal brand and commitment and these are the key to success in life and career. At the end Dr. Parampal Singh and Prof. J.S. Saini, Heads Department of Business Administration & Computer Applications presented the token of gratitude to the guest of inaugural ceremony. Various eminent personalities from industries and academics were invited to interact with the different branches of Engineering students. The Programme will continue till 13th February, 2021 in the campus.
