TEQIP-III Sponsored One day Workshop on “Hands-on-Training for Digital Teaching Aids”

SWAYAM-NPTEL Local Chapter, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana organised TEQIP-III Sponsored one day Workshop on “Hands-on-Training for Digital Teaching Aids” on January 07, 2021. Event was inaugurated by Dr. A.S. Chawla, Vice-Chancellor, RIMT University, Dr. Sehijpal Singh, Principal, Dr. Harwinder Singh, TEQIP-III Coordinator, Dr. Narwant Singh Grewal, Coordinator, SWAYAM-NPTEL Local Chapter, Prof. Lakhveer Singh Khana, SPOC, SWAYAM-NPTEL Local Chapter. The objective of this activity was to impart hands-on-training on digital teaching tools and make the faculty familiarized with various teaching tools so as to further improve teaching-learning process and cater to the needs of this changing time.

Dr.Sehijpal Singh, Principal,GNDEC, motivated the faculty members to make the best use of this hands-on-training and use it in daily practice. Dr. Harwinder Singh briefed about various activities held under TEQIP-III and applauded this initiative of workshop taken under TEQIP-III. Dr. Narwant Singh Grewal shed light on activities organized by SWAYAM-NPTEL Local Chapter in the past years and welcomed the participants on this event.

Chief guest of the workshop, Dr. A.S. Chawla interacted with the participants and focused on being adaptive with varying teaching tools and methodology to bring a positive change in education system. Mr. Harsimrandeep Singh, Promark Techsolutions Pvt. Ltd. explained various features of device “Smart Interactive screen” so that the students can be taught in the best possible and interactive way with the use of this device. Every little detail of this digital device was demonstrated by the expert so as to facilitate the content delivery by faculty through online mode. Around 100 faculty members from the parent institution registered for this workshop. This workshop was appreciated and well-received by all the attendees. At the end, Prof. Lakhveer Singh Khana thanked one and all involved directly and indirectly in this workshop.
