ATAL Sponsored FDP on Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality Organized by Department of Information Technology, GNDEC Ludhiana

A Five day Faculty development program on Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality sponsored By ATAL Academy New Delhi was inaugurated at GNDEC Ludhiana by Department of Information Technology. This  FDP  was a part of 46 Online FDP inaugurated at Central Level by Honorable Education Minister, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank sponsored by AICTE, ATAL Academies

The program at GNDEC was inaugurated by Dr. Sehijpal Singh, Principal GNDEC Ludhiana where he said that Virtual reality can be used to enhance student learning and engagement. VR education can transform the way educational content is delivered. 

Dr. Kiran Jyoti Head of Department welcome all the participants. She spoke about how Virtual reality helps students discover how the software can be used in other fields such as medicine, entertainment, and fashion among others. Dr. Akshay Girdhar and Dr. Amit Kamra, Coordinator of course while thanking  AICTE and ATAL Academy officials, said that there are around 160 Participants from all over India where they will learn about practical concepts of Virtual and Augmented Reality. 

Renowned Senior Scientist Dr. Sushil Chandra from Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences New Delhi delivered keynote address on Extended Reality in Cognition and Defense. He discussed that Virtual Reality is a trending technology that gives excellent scope to diverse businesses to take a leap and simulate physical presence in the real world as well as the imaginary world. 

Dr K S Mann while introducing the keynote speaker and thanked him to sparing his time for his valuable thoughts. During the FDP various experts from DRDO New Delhi, Eon Reality Bangalore, GNE Ludhiana, NITTAR Chandigarh, IKGPTU Jalandhar and other parts of country  will be delivering the lecture on various topics related to Virtual Reality.
