International Women’s day is celebrated every year on 08th March to acknowledge social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. GNDEC School of Architecture, Ludhiana marked the day with online lecture by Ar.Vidhu Malik who is Principal Designer-Bottega 9 and Design Mentor-Planners Group, Chandigarh. Resource Person told that very few girl students practice Architecture after graduating and most of them go for jobs. She advised the girl students to come forward and practice Architecture as there are ample opportunities to flourish in the industry. Prof.Akanksha Sharma, Head-GNDEC School of Architecture encouraged the students and faculty by extending her full support in systemizing the activity and also bestowed the students with her valuable inputs. Dr.Sehijpal Singh, Principal GNDEC, Ludhiana stressed on the role of women in building future cities. He praised the school of Architecture for conducting this event.
